“A bazaar is a permanently enclosed marketplace or street where goods and services are exchanged or sold. The term originates from the Persian word bāzār”.
Owner, Katie Jones, was a corporate merchant in New York and fell in love with the job. When she moved back to Colorado, she wanted to open her own store, but keep her role as a “merchant”. Historically, merchants sold their goods in “Bazaars” (French/Persian spelling is “Bazar”) and so the name was born.
The space was as important as the goods, so she found a location that suited her style and got to work in her new found “Bazar Space” (Instagram handle).
